Just some pictures

Here are some pictures of the progress so far in the condo...not much, but it's the floors. I'll post some later of the condition before-hand...aka with the carpet. Enjoy!

Life is Sweet...

So nothing exciting has been happening so far in my life. Last week was the week from hell because I had 3 papers to write and turn in...but they are over and done with, so that is very nice. Saturday I woke up really early and helped my Dad sand down all the finish and nastiness off of my hardwoods in the condo. It was so hard, and it took forever, but it was awesome when it was finished. I love my Dad...great guy. There was only one disaster, but it turned out extremely funny. In the 2nd bedroom (the computer room), we plugged in the big sander and it took off right into the wall! It left a huge hole, but luckily nobody was standing in front of that sander!

Later on Saturday night, I had dinner and a Guinness at my professor's house, which was alot of fun. We looked at pictures and just talked. Then, I headed out to Norcross and then to Dunwoody to go to Robin's birthday party. 3 margaritas later, Bobby and I left with his two cousins and her boyfriend and headed back to Norcross. Like bums, we played Nintendoo 64 Super Mario Cart until the wee hours of the morning...needless to say, I slept in until 11:45, which was amazingly nice.

Sunday was a day of relaxation. My Mom and I went back to Lowe's (our new favorite place) and bought the floor stain and polyurethane...it's gonna be a tough job, but somebody's gotta finish the floors. We'll probably start doing that on Friday...bleck. Grey's Anatomy was a re-run, so I was thoroughly disappointed, but I headed back to school at that point. Heather informed me that next year's classes were posted, so I spent the next 2 hours scheduling, and I finally decided what to take. Then, we discussed ghost experiences in our dorm room...and slept with the light on.

Nothing exciting...as I said. Patrick Flaherty was in town, but I never saw him. Good thing. But, this week isn't bad. I just have to begin studying for my Geology test that is next Tuesday, and hopefully see Callie sometime. Welll, I must go to Political Science, which is extremely depressing...

Hooray to Me

I guess I'm pretty much a genious these days...I got straight A's (one A-) for my midterm grades...and an A for my HIS290 presentation, and a 97 on my HIS215 midterm...dang, I'm good...jk.

Well, nothing exciting here. Please post me comments...this week is gonna be a rough one.

BOOOOO for a horrible week...I'll definetly be needing a fun week...sanding wood floors? BLECK

Dust a flyin'

I haven't updated in a while...sorrrrrry! I've been kinda stressed, but it's all better now. We met with the Co-Op Board on Tuesday, which was crazy stressful, but it all worked out because they approved me and I closed on my condo on Wednesday! THEN, Bobby and I headed to Helen for a romantic get-away for the remainder of our Spring Breaks. It was alot of fun, and it was some much needed time with my man. This morning Callie called around 9 AM to tell a funny story, so I woke up in Helen and enticed Bobby to help me rip out carpet and pull up floor tiles (bribed him with Wolfgang Puck...always works!), so we actually got all the nasty old carpet out and got the kitchen floor tiles out. NEXT it's time to refinish those hardwoods...they're in really bad shape right now, but once we've worked on them, they'll be wonderful. We already bought the porcelain kitchen floor tiles, so we'll be putting those in soon. I hope to head down there tomorrow to start doing some deep cleaning and put on my new WHITE toilet seat (the one on there now is PINK!). Maybe I'll see Callie, but maybe not. WHO KNOWS! ANYWAYS, this weekend I have to finish answering my last question on my Poli Sci midterm and then outline a paper I have to write on Monday...yuck! SO that's all...

Bad News Bear

So, today sucked. I found out that my condo may not be mine afterall. Some schmuck put an offer in also, apparently completely different than mine, so now it's all up to the Co-Op Board of Directors to decide whether or not I get it. I am pretty nervous, and I cried a little about it. It was a little like giving candy to a kid and then taking it away and waving it infront of their face...

Just hope for me. Please.

It's Official

So, it's official! I got my condo today! It's mine! Yeah!!!


Time to do some renovations...
